Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

MS150 in Connecticut

I just came back from the MS 150 this weekend in CT. I never done a ride this long before, we rode 75 miles per day and there were some good climbs. The best part was the loop around Old Saybrook along the Long Island Sounds. The event is well organized and I met some really cool people. I am looking forward to doing more group rides.

Anyone on this forum did this event?

Steve

Hi Steve,

I did the CT Summer Breeze Century back in July that went from Middletown to Essex, Old Saybrook, Madison before looping back up to Middletown again. Very pretty part of the state.
Here was our route map:

I'll be doing the Harvest Century out of Westport on the 24th if you're interested.

do you mean the 154 loop, through Fenwick and the like? if it's the same route as Joe linked to (through OS) then that would be the one.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I am busy Sunday. It looks like a nice ride.
