Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Foothill Blvd - Scuzzy photos of yesterdays ride

So since the weather here has been absolutely perfect (compared to last week specially) - the temperatures are ideal, I just had to snap a few photos on my ride yesterday - they are nasty camera-phone photo's but it was still a great ride;

For those not familiar with SL,UT (Salt Lake Utah) Foothill Blvd, runs along the foothill of the Wasatch Mountains - gets very little traffic and offers a stunning view of the salt lake valley, the great salt lake and antelope island and has very little traffic!

I think that's actually Wasatch Blvd., isn't it? And thanks for rubbing it in!

Glad you had a good ride--weather is perfect here!

Man! I always get those backwards. It would be, in fact, Wasatch Blvd... Doh!

Thanks for straightening me out

I agree, the weather has been absolutely perfect this week, and oh how I love Wasatch Blvd!! Road biking in Salt Lake just wouldn't be the same without it. It looks like the 2nd photo was taken just by the Mount Olympus trailhead?

BTW, I've seen some of your routeslip stuff - nice =)

I enjoyed the report, but you forgot to tell us whether there is much traffic...

Definitely sounds and looks like a nice place to ride.

Yeah the weather has been AWESOME! Looks like we've got another week of it. Yeehaw! I love the whole big cottonwood to city creek benches area. Maybe I'm bias because I live smack in the middle of it and ride there 90% of the time, but it just seems to offer great riding all around.
