Why does anybody ask?
Why does anybody here ask questions that require the opinion of others on this forum? Seems to me they all end the same, and with the same bu***hit in every one.
What wheels should I buy? Its either "you dont need wheels, save your money" or buy round ones. What a bunch of idiots. No wonder roadies have a bad rap.
Thank god I'm a moutain biker with a roadie problem!

nobody said I was fast. That is a given
RUSHGUY= the guy behind you going uphill.
I am a 210 lb casual road cyclist with an awesome bike with so much extra and expensive crap that I don't need( according to the forum members and my wife) it will make you sick. But, I love every second riding it, whether I am cruising thru town or out for 30-50 miles.
I don't gripe, offer opinion that is out of line, or over exagerate my ability on a road bike. I know I like riding my road bike. what else is there??

The reason people ask questions is to get answers from others all over the world that may have used the "prduct" or experiecned the "situation". Just because a few idiots like to mkae fun of someone's question or give "bull@#$% shouldn't stop people from asking questions.

Besides if we didn't seek each others opinions, what would be the point? Then it would just be talking trash about OCP vs Fred, and that gets old real fast.

Asking a few quetions saved me from spending over $1K on a pointless wheel upgrade. It was worth the few wise ass comments.

To my recollection, I have never belittled you. If you'd like, I can give it the old 'college try'.

Lately there's been a lot of quick jabs at posts/threads, but most of the time you can find good info in here. You have noticed the basic trend though....
1. Before you ever ask questions about performance difference (with reference to an upcoming purchase)between two parts/bikes/etc you'd better make sure there is no upgrading still available to be done on the engine.
2. If you want opinions about two parts/bikes/etc. that you are thinking of buying because you want to buy something new...then be upfront about wanting to buy it because you want to buy it...
3. If you stick around a thread long enough (3rd or 4th day) then you will see all the engineers and nerds come out of the woodwork and start to discuss the actual mechanics, physics, general science behind some of the techniques, parts and processes used in our sport. That is where the gold is in this forum.
I guess the bottom line is that it all boils down to how the question is phrased. If it is open-ended or incomplete then it lends itself to all of the comments from the peanut gallery.
Sincerely,
