Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Need a floor pump and a frame pump

Hey guys I need a floor pump and a frame pump for my bikes. I am looking on nashbar so if anyone has a website with better prices or a better selection please let me know.

Floor Pump:
Topeak Turbo Floor Pump $49.95
or
Topeak 2004 Joe Blow Sprint Floor Pump $34.95
or
Topeak Joe Blow Sport Floor Pump $24.95

$15 difference. Worth it? Whats the differences? I definatly need it to reach 100psi but would like if it could do 130+.

Frame Pump:
Topeak Morph Pump (Road) $29.95

Is this a good pump?

I want to mount it on the bottom tube next to my water bottle. Nashbar only has one size listed but i have heard people say that they come in different sizes. Will this fit? Whatsthe best size? Its a 57cm lemond reno.

Thanks!

I have the Sprint and the Road Morph. Both good pumps, and a good combo. Had the Topeak Joe Blow Pro and did not like it at all. Was great while it lasted, which wasn't long. As far as I know the Road Morph comes in only one size.

Nope, they come in "mini" size, which is not nearly as good as the bigger version.

Road morph is one size, great pump.

For a floor pump, I use the Topeak Turbo Floor Pump, it's got a single head thaty adjusts to schrader and presta. A nice feature.

My Joe Blow...blows. (air, that is. It works fine. If you're just using it a couple-three times a week for yourself, it should be fine. If you're opening your own bike shop or something, well then get the expensive one.)

The mini morph has a shorter tube and is compacter overall.

I've read that the mini will get to about 100psi (my road morph got to 130 no problem) but it'll take twice as long since it doesn't have the volume the road morph has.

All the pumps you mentioned are good pumps. Probably the only good frame pump made anymore is the Topeak; must companies have gotten away from those to concentrate on smaller mini formats. The Zefal HPX use to be the best but they cheapen it with some crappy plastic pump head that have been breaking. Blackburn Carbon Fiber Frame pump is a light frame pump that can reach 160psi easily but the reliablity is not known yet; it appears that the Barbieri CarbOne Mini Pump, also made of carbon, has problems with the barrel breaking so maybe the Blackburn have the same issue to since it's carbon?

OK thanks for all the replies. The topeak road morph seems to be the best one that will get up to 100+psi. Does it come with mounting hardware? Is it possible to put it on my bike with 2 water bottle holders too?

It comes with a frame clip that you use to mount it to the bottom of the top tube so it won't interfer with water bottles; some people mount pumps between the rear stays (facing the rear) on the seat tube but not sure if that pump can do that, nor would I really recommend that since debris from the rear tire "could" foul up the pump.
