Recomend a Kevlar 28c Tire/ and Fender to match?
Anyone know of a good road tire that comes in 28c, preferably with Kevlar (in the $20-40 range). I would prefer the tire to be all black in color. Also for winter, does anyone know of a good brand for clip on fenders.
Thanks eveyone.

Bontrager X-lite Race foldable. The Silica version is considerably lighter but much more pricy and may not be too good in the wet.

I have the Specialized All Purpose 28's on my bike right now and. they ride and handle sublime. Big difference from the harsh 23's that came on it. In addition, I've had no flats. The Rivendell Rolly Polly's ae suppose to be very good tires too.

I think Race Blades are clip-on.
Personally, I use Ultra-Gators and Freddy's for commuting in winter.

Conti Gators are heavily favored by tandemista's..... so they will suit just about any heavy-duty need. Plus, they are almost bald and take 125 PSI so they roll fast.

If you're looking for kevlar protection in the tire, Gatorskins will do the trick. They don't come with a kevlar bead at 700x28, though... not sure what kind of kevlar you meant.

Thanks for the advice, I think I'll look into the Gatorskins. Does anyone know if the 25c or 28c model works well only on roads or does it hold up ok on gravel and dirt (part of my commute takes me through the park). Someone mentioned that they were really smooth and had no tread on them.

Picked up a pair of Hutchison Top Speed slicks 700 X 28 off ebay for $28. They have a Kevlar band, but do have blue sidewall bands. I've put about 200 miles on them so far without trouble (kiss of death now) and have been pleased.
