Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hell Lipo is a lot cheaper if you go to the Domincan, who cares that the Doctor might actually not have credentials when you can spend your saved money on more stuff.

I thought it looked great. I especially liked the rim color and texture. Ceramic bearings? I had no idea such thing existed. Then again, $23,000 bikes aren't marketed to me. I'm more of a Trek 1000 kind of guy.

That whole gold bling pimp crack hoe look just doesn't work for me.

Sorry, but gold trim doesn't belong on a bicycle, it belongs on a '76 white El Dorado.

aren't they copper accents?

Also, where infused in that bike build, it served a functional purpose.

Lastly, I do want those brakes, those things look awesome.

Still looking for that "best offseason EVER" article?

I thought Bike Forums was supposed to replace all that marketing swill....

Yeah, BF is pretty heavy on the overmarketed and unnecessary technology. Most riders own and buy the stuff. Diminishsing returns abound!!!

I am just getting into cycling so I got a subscription on ebay for around $4.00.

Hey, wait a minute...now that i think about it, my statement doesn't support why I should get the mag but why not to get it: what are they selling me that is worth $4.00 per year?

You mean people really subscribe to Bicycling Magazine? I thought that was read at Barnes & Noble while sipping a Latte to pass the time.

It's staph, short for Staphylococcus. Although, if you get it from your surgeon, I guess it could be a staff infection too.

If it's one thing I've learned from seeing those patients, it's that you get what you pay for. If a surgeon is willing to do a procedure for 1/4 the price of anyone else, there may be some important steps missing...

Sorry, I digress.

For $23K that bike is just a little too Elvis. All the copper accents and stuff just kill it.

Instead, I'll take a Paris Carbon with Bora Ultras and full Record, and a TT bike, and a 'cross bike, and a fixie, and a vacation where I can use all of them.

I can't see spending more than about $5k on a bike... for $5k I could pick up a QS-2S frame built with Ritchey WCS bits + full SRAM Force, Ksyrium ES wheelset, a top-end saddle and enough money for a six month supply of clif bars let over.
