Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bikesdirect.com

Its funny how it seems like most everyone here bashes all over on bikesdirect.com, but I just noticed that right between Cyclistats and Performance Bicycle advertisements on the right side of this page is a link to none other than bikesdirect.com. So how many of you have actually bought something there?

Yea they just signed up and good for them...good for Bikeforums for that matter.

I haven't but only because I am a Campy guy...if I was a Shimano guy I would probably own a LeChamp SL. They supposedly have Campy bikes coming soon...the could mean the end of my marriage.

Well I had to log out to see it! Buy one of those little red stars and you won't have to see any of the ads!

They're finally a paid sponsor of the forums. That's nice.

It's as classy as Colnago naming a bike "Extreme Power."

I purchased a Windsor bike from them a year ago this past August. In the 15 months I have put about 3500 miles on the bike. Basically happy with their service and bike, although I have swapped out some parts like, wheels, saddle, pedals, stem and soon the seat post. Mostly to upgrade. The Ultegra system doesn't need to be upgraded and I am happy with how the aluminum frame rides.

No, apparently I am not in the company of people who can handle a comment like that. Sometimes I forget that I am surrounded by fifty year old married men who can't take a joke.

yup, and im ready to buy another (le champion) for crit racing...just waiting out the holidays to see if my wallet is still intact.

Ive got 2 top ten finishes and one win on the Immortal Force last season (have only raced 5 times in my life) . Have high hopes for this season...best part is blowing by the high dollar bikes while giving them "the look"

just playing...kinda

I have bought three bikes from them. A Le Champion SL for my daughter, and Immortal Force for me. I just got my Mercier Draco yesterday and have stripped it of all it's parts for my Pedal Force build.
