Where are the orange bicycles?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Ok, it's a mountain bike, but you can't argue about how orange it is!!

Summary: Nashbar 853 signature frame, SRAM & Shimano drivetrain, Velocity VXC wheelset, Avid BB5 brakes.

Probably pushing the bounds of the road forum, It's neither light, nor fast. (At least not with me riding it!)

But it is orange!

Yesterday after this shot I commuter'd it.

Put a matching blue front tire on that mote and you have one of the sexiest bikes on the road.

Here's my Gunnar Roadie.

It doesn't make me any faster, but it does me a lot happier when I ride an orange bike, I can't help but smile.

Sorry, no white garage door, only a green hedge

Hmmmmm. . . I think I may know who that person is . . .

And I should've taken the opportunity to test ride that orange Serotta of Jess's back when I had the chance! The Holy Grail frame I have my eye on is the CDA; but I'd prefer green. Which would really belong in an entirely new thread, I suppose.

Orange was the new black about 7 years ago!

Pink has been the new black for the last few years.

I'm not sure what the newest black is going to be because I think fashion is due for a change from pink, but if you want to be as trendy as possible, you'll paint that bicycle pink!

Machka, but pink is a very slow color. If you do a google search on fastest color you will see that orange is at the top of the list. Forget pink, it's so yesterday.
