Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Litespeed Teramo Build

Okay.............I have been toying with the purchase of a Litespeed and decided to buy the frame and due to addiction of building a bike up myself! Anyone out here have this frame and can tell me other than Litespeed's web site their take on it.

Bought the large frame and will transpose some of my components from the PF QS2 to it and probably sell the PF with the carbon crank and PF front fork on E-Bay or Craigslist.

I found the new 06' frame for $1475 and it comes with the Cane Creek headset and Real Design Signature carbon fork. May have to do some swithching there. May either do an Ultegra double or the R700 compact double. Thoughts there as well? Outfitting with Spinergy Xaero Lite PBO wheels as well.

Feedback on your thoughts.

After next week I join the ranks of Litespeed! Just needed a stiffer frame due to my weight at 195 lbs.

Great looking bike!
I have a Merlin CR 3/2.5 that also came with the Real Design fork and Crane Creek S-3 headset. The headset is great. The fork rides great, but, (if you are a weight weenie - like me), you could probably shave 100 grams off the bike with a swap. (I bought a Profile Silencer SL recently to put on my Merlin).
Both the Ultegra and R700 cranks look nice, depends on if you want/need the compact.
Post a comparo with the QS2 when you get some miles on it.

Nice looking frame, though the graphics are a little strong.

Build it up with DA-10 and some Spinergy Stealths.

That should be a very nice bike to ride. I hope it turns out to be all you wanted

Great choice. I have a Teramo 05 w/ Ultegra. I dont know the difference between 05 and 06 frames other then the stickers, but can tell the frame has a great ride. I've had several alum frames, cromo frames and I always come back to the Litespeed. My opinion is biased. Let us know how the build is progressing. Here are couple of pics:

I love the subtleness of the paint job on your Teramo better than the 06' paint. I hope it absorbs the road as well or better than my QS2 which is very comfortable. Thanks for all who posted.

Will detail build and ride report once done.

I know what your thinking...............I actually work for the Dept. of Justice and I am on a Clandestine Laboratory Cleanup Team that specializes in clandestined drug lab breakdowns.

Alot of training and yet don't make what the job should pay with a college education and extensive post school training.
