Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The Eddy Merckx w/ photos

just finished my EM project. Its pretty much all D/A 7400 era parts except the cranks and BB which had to be replaced. Its super fast and stiff (SLX steel). enjoy the show. thanks for looking.

it helps if you have a higher screen resolution the images are large.

I owned the exact same bike in the early 90s, except that it had the blue chevrons rather than the red. Nicest riding bike I've ever owned and it fit me like a glove. Hope to find one again some day.

nah, i was going to put white on but white gets way to dirty. i've road twice and the hood are already showing dark spots. I think i might go with white and red next time around.
