Under 600$: Your choice in bike

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Under 600$: Your choice in bike

I was doing the normal bike day dreaming that occurs when you are doing something you are not enjoying (for me, studying for finals) and I wanted to see what everyone's choice in bike would be for under 600$. This would be a race capable bike and I would assume used. Make your choice reasonable in that it would not be super rare to find the said name and model at that price. I am interested to hear everyone's choices as I may end up buying a cheap bike for a training bike.

For $100 more, you have a massive, years-long thread stickied at the top of the forum.

Used Al frame, Ultegra 9-speed, CF fork. Should be lots of options out there for $600..
