Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Recommend me a cycling podcast

Over the last year, podcasts have taken over my life. They are so convenient, especially for doing chores, sitting on a bus, etc.

I have been looking for a good cycling podcast, but have not really had much success. Any recommendations?

By the way, if one else out there enjoys podcasts, here are some I would recommend:

- BBC Documentary Archive - the one that started it all for me. Very interesting topics, and a textbook example for anyone (like me) who works in community radio and wants to learn how to produce documentraies.

- BBC 'From Our Own Correspondent' - Can you see that I have a slight BBC bias?

- CBC 'Dispatches' - a Canadian version of the above program

- Democracy Now! - a daily news hour. Too lengthy for me to listen daily, but I do download it any time anything 'big' happens in the US.

- Travel with Rick Steves - my new favorite!

The Spokesmen Podcast - - it's sort of an aggregation of the Fredcast, Cycling News and Views, and Masiguy going on about various things, normally with the really vacuous rubbish cleared out to make room for the interesting bits of each. https://www.the-spokesmen.com/wordpress/

But they need to work on the whole podcast-by-Skype thing... doesn't always quite work.

I can do a Google search as well as the next guy. Not the word 'recommend' in the header. I have come across many-a-podcast, but some of them just plainly suck.

As for the rest of you, thanks for the info.

Cycling Insight with Bazzman and Hutch is funny as hell - learn all about how Floyd Landis' father is a Predator.

Crankk (yep, spelled correctly) is good. The Michigan Cycling Podcast is also good, but on hiatus until spring.

Cycling insight is quite hilarious. They don't release shows very often or with any regularity, though. i wish they would.
