Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I just recently got into cycling, but I LOVE my 2006 Fuji Team bike. I am riding it now as it came from the factory (plus pedals and a computer). I test rode a bunch of bikes and the Fuji just felt great. The '06 team is an all carbon frame. It is a combo of Ultegra and 105 components. It is very comfortable and smooth. I love it.

new Roubaix

I bought a 2006 Roubaix RC for $1,350 about a month ago. Its aluminum with Ultegra components and carbon seat stays. The carbon makes the ride noticeably smoother than my all-aluminum 2000 Specialized Allez. I've ridden about 200 miles and am very happy with the bike. At 17.5 pounds (w/o pedals) its a great bike for the money. It would have sold for $2,000 earlier in the year.

I'm happy to hear that Fuji stands behind their product.

I bought a 2006 Fuji Roubaix in November for $800. I have over 500 miles on it and love it. The carbon seat stays do smooth out the ride.

I've only put 200 miles on mine so far - but am liking it. (Pic from the under $700 thread).

My 15 year old Fuji Mountain bike is still working great too.

Sweet rides.

How do you like the Nuevations? I almost got some before finding a guy local that was getting rid of some Ksyrium SSC's at a crazy low price.

I got my first bike about 9 months ago and had it down to a Fuji (forget the model) and the Iron Horse Victory Race I have now. I really was having a tough time as to which one I would get until the LBS screwed up the price on the Iron Horse and sold it to me for $999 w/Full Ultegra. Someone got in deep poop for that one. They came close to selling it at half price. With the SSC's it has become one sweet ride.

carbon fuji bikes are great. Domestic powerhouse Toyota United cycling team uses them. 07 and 08 SL-1 are rated high on some cycling magazines.

As for the SL1, you are right, they are awesome. Guess that's why I have two of them.
