Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yes, chances are, you will need to adjust your seat height. The Keos have a very low stack height. I went from Time ATAC mountain pedals on my bike too Keo's and I had to adjust the saddle...

I agree. Be prepared to fool around a little. The sole of my MTB shoes is also a bit thinker than my road shoes.

Those are nice pedals, by the way.

damn. i don't want to fool around with my setup, as i have everything set up perfectly right now. i had to have an existing bike fit done in October and things are great now. i don't wanna mess things up...

can't i just measure, like from the place where the mtb cleat sits in the pedal to my saddle and then once i install the new pedals, just move the saddle up or down to get that same distance? you gotta understand that i had a hell of time being comfortable on this bike till the fitting. i thought i was gonna always be hurtin' or uncomfortable on the bike till then. now, i ride pain free and comfortably, so i don't want to mess this up.

Mark your current hight on your seatpost with a wax pencil or something so you can restore your current set up quickly. You don't really have to mess with the fore and aft position of the saddle or its tilt. It probably just means dropping the seat a half centimeter or so.

thanks a bunch! i do have about 3cm to "play" with as when i got the fitting done, my seat height to center of bb, idealy should be 70.5cm, but it's set at 67cm now. the fit guy said i could move it later if i felt the need to do so.

anyways, thanks again for the info. karen.

If your ideal is 70.5cm, and you're at 67, and the stack height on the pedals decreases a bit, I'd leave the seat height alone, and try it. It should be like raising the seat a tad.

If that's not comfortable after a bit, mark the existing height, and then move it in small increments.
