Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Craft...is...amazing (and cheap right now)

I've been buying a fair amount of their product lately, the Pro Windstopper undergarments in particular. Picked up one piece on sale to try during the winter and was totally impressed, so I keep adding to the collection.

Most recent addition was their top end bib tights, that I test rode today.

I've bought Italian suits that weren't made as nice (the bibs are made in Italy BTW). And certainly not as warm or as comfy. Pricey yes, (though still a cool hunny under Asso) but I'm guessing by looking at the quality of construction that I'll be riding these with a big smile on my face for quite a few winters. Some of the other similar pieces I have (PI, Gore) look like they were made with a hammer and chisel in comparison.

So I thought I'd pass on the fact that Carft USA is blowing out a bunch of stuff right now. Sizes seem to be mostly xl and above, but it's worth a look given the prices.

i tired 2 pairs of Craft Winter Bib Knickers a few months ago, and i thought they were the worst bibs i've ever tried!

a few stiches pulled on the chest of the first pair, after the first ride, so i exchanged them for another pair. the same exact stiches pulled on the chest of the second pair, also after the first ride, so i returned them and had no desired to try a third pair...

also, the spandex pilled rather quickly, faster than my PI shorts and my Giordana bibs...

i e-mailed them, they said blah blah blah about quality, and sent me a 35% off promo code to use on a future purchase. i replied and told them they could keep their promo code, because i have no desire to purchase anything else with their name on it again...

good luck with your gear...

I just ordered their Thermal Jacket and a baselayer long sleeve shirt. Saved $80 from World Cycling with a sale they have going. Items should get here Monday. Hopefully they don't suck.

I'm using the mediums and they are nice and roomy. Seem to be a cross between Euro and US cut.

516, I'm surprised at your experience. The bibs I've got have a zip and no seem in the front. Which model were they?

Hmmm.....just won an auction on ebay for the EIT Race shorts. Only $40 so it's not the end of the world so we'll see. Anyone have experience with them? Also noticed Campy has some shorts at CS....any experiences with their product/
chamois?

Later.

I'm also a fan of Craft products; I use their winter gloves, base layers & shoe cover. All of these products work very well and aren't overpriced.
