Absolutely, they always stand behind their product. Hahaha I'm just kidding, they're probably screwed, too bad it's not a pair of MP3 mavic's, they'll warranty that if you purposely set them on fire.

Not many companies warranty against crashes.

At least it broke evenly in 4's so it can easily be Gorilla glue'd and Ebayed. For ease of use, you know?

Maybe the wheel simply woke up, looked around, and realised it was bolted to a Teschner?

Looks like a Teschner track bike, which makes looking at that picture even harder to look at. It makes me sick to my stomach.

Zipp does have a crash replacement program that's reasonably generous

Ok, I read the article but what exactly is the story there? Also, are those broken aluminum bars? As much as I don't really like Zipp, I wouldn't blame them for not covering that one, unless a wheel failure caused the crash.

I noticed the handlebar broke right after the bar tape. That's right people, on carbon bars, that bar tape is load bearing, it's the only thing keeping your bars together.

I've heard from trusted inside sources at Zipp that the 08' Zipp wheels will all have a layer of bar tape laminated right under the cosmetic weave layer for "structural integrity".

So did the rider get pissed or what caused that?
