Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I second that question, and have a few (speculative answers). They are of the same design as the Race series of wheels but are, I would assume, made with heaver materials. It seems like they're a popular choice on some hybrids and cross bikes as well. A friend of mine has a scale and they weighed around 1000g for the rear wheel and about 850 for the front, so just a tad heavier than Bontrager Race Lites.

FWIW (and I know this depends on whoever laced the wheels rather than the manufacturer) they're pretty dang strong too. Mine were involved in a hairy incident involving a trunk rack and the interstate and didn't need any truing at all after. (Just new tires )

They are on my wife's 7.5FX. Low spoke count, look cool, no problems so far.

They are entry level. Ride them till they die and then get some better rims.

paired spoke design, some people love it some people hate it. as mentioned they are an entry level wheel, carry a 5 year warranty which is nice if you decide to keep on them. other than that, they roll.
