    Coda Hubs - A questions

What is the history of Coda hubs that come on Cannondale bikes? Are they a brand Cannondale just took over or are they a component that Cannondale just started making from scratch?

Also what do they compare with in let's Shimano. Are they more like 105 or Ultegtra?

    Thanks

Like some other OEM hubs, they can be had so cheap, who cares!

Seriously though. I have a few front wheels I've built on NIB Coda hubs I got on eBay for like $10 - $12. They're sealed bearing - one has a titanium axle, even. They're fine. A bit stiff at first, but I've probably got a few thousand miles on each with no problems. If they ever fail, I'll just go back to eBay for more.

Coda is Cannondale's house components brand as we all know. Almost all the parts are made by outside suppliers.
Hugi made some of the Coda hubs although I'm not positive on which models and what years so I don't want to give out false info on that.
I was very happy with by previous Coda Expert hubset. It rolled very smooth and easily outcoasted others on group rides.

I don't know about Hugi making the hubs, but some of them are, I think, related to the Hugi design, and thus LOUD.

Hugi makes the high end Coda hubsets. Those old orange one were even stamped Hugi on the freehub body.
