thanks for all your input on my other thread about picking the correct shoe here is the one on just won on ebay.

now i need pedals. looking to spend no more than 40bucks. to tell you guys the truth i dont know what im looking for. im thinking about these:
https://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?c...pless%20Pedals
i like the red color option and the look of the pedal i guess thats what you go by when you are clueless.
do you guys have any suggestions. will it hurt to use an atb pedal. i think some people say no but then why have 2 links on every site you go to MTB pedals and road pedals.
any input is appreciated.. thanks guy

I picked these up myself and love them. Slightly heavier versions of the ones the pros use. I went on recommendations of others here on the forum.

Nope good old USD
Click on the US Flag up top, you'll see the price change to US $. $39.99 Free Shipping.
Do a search for SPD-SL or Bang for the Buck Pedals... even Doc Pete recommended IIRC.

I would pass on those pedals. I would go with the 105s from probikekit.com as well (they have free shipping, too). If you want an ATB style, they also sell the Shimano M520 for $33 (again free shipping). If your choice is Shimano or Nashbar knockoff for the same price, I don't see it as much of a decision.

go for the SPD-SL and you'll be glad you did....much easier to clip in(IMO)...and feels like a bigger platform to me....I switched from a SPD style pedal(the type you're looking at) to a SPD SL style and will never go back.
