Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Unspeakable, Egregious OCP Violations (not suitable for OCP children)

-No garage door
-Mismatched wheels
-YELLOW computer on a red/white/carbon bike
-Big, clunky silver hub clashes with dark, subdued tones of the rest of the bike.

I left it in the "wrong" gear just to accentuate the horror.

And look at the way-too-long valve stems out there all willy-nilly. Ugh. The horror continues.

Whew!

The cassette is new, and the rest... well, that's what recovery days are for.

You also didn't center the air valves at the bottom but since it's a Pinny with a Powertap all is somehow forgiven....at least the door is white. This is one of those pics you grade on a curve.

The hubs do not clash.

The yellow computer is fine.

The bike looks fast....and light.

The wheels don't match. Egad!

And before the owner horribly disfigured this bicycle with the wheel "upgrade," he was seen at a local race, turning pedals in anger, and getting dirt and sports drink and stuff all over it!

Well, as luck would have it, I used the Polar with reasonable success, but I ended up winning an award at work that came with some cash... So the trade up to the PT happened a little ahead of schedule...

Speaking of that, what is that above the stem and why is there so much space between the stem and the headtube?

Thanks.

It's 3 1/2 inches to the top of the bar.

The frame is too beautiful to not be OCP... anything wrong on it is just a "fashion statement" and will start a trend... like when Angelina Jolie started rocking medical scrubs bottoms with flip-flops...

It's definitely fast... As far as light, I haven't weighed it, but based on some calculators it's around 16.5lb with the powertap.

Just waiting to chop that off until I'm sure I like the fit.
