Cool Pix You've Taken While Cycling (Post Here)

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What's that ugly black and yellow thing in the second picture? Really, though, very nice pics. I plan on getting a camera phone soon since many of the club rides have taken me to views that made me say "Man, I wish I had a camera".

Nice pics! Love the muddy mountain bike shot. I take it you're a pro photographer?

Well, I have to say that the century yesterday took me by surprise!! The Chinook was supposed to stay around a few more days, but blew out by about 11 am, dropping the temperature 19 degrees and just about freezing me to the side of the road.

I posted my century report in the Long Distance forum under the title "Nasty, Vicious, Cruel Centuries" ... because that's what it was!!!

Believe me, I wish I were in Australia right now!!!

Not the best "photo", but here is one from my recent trip to SoCal. I just loved rounding corners or cresting hills and seeing the ocean. The people in front are part of our group. As you can see we were starting to spread out. Not always easy to take pics and ride at the same time.

But it takes way too long to open the thread when people do that ... half the time the pictures don't even open. Plus because of my screen size, I can only see a fraction of the entire picture on the screen.

I like it a lot! It's bright and commands a lot of respect in the quagmire of downtown traffic and lights. I really get noticed by vehicles and drivers that typically cut you off, now they wait for you and give you right of way. You really noticed that you are noticed.

I especially like the self contained unit for it allows me to quickly mount and dismount the light. I park in a downtown compound as such need everything bolted to the bike or quickly removable. In the moving picture, I had it on low power and didn't realize it until I saw the pictures at home.

Here is my Thread on it
