Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Garage? A lot of people with a weird concept today...

Your bikes belong INSIDE the house in a room with their own dedicated shower for them to clean.

If you put them in the garage, that's like child abuse and you shall be punished by the bicycle god.

Most of those parts are probably going on my Pedalforce RS frame...

So, I too will have a 55 Veloce frame for sale

Let's see. I have two road bikes and my MTB. Then my wife's new road bicycle. Then my kid's MTB.

Then my Honda ST1300A motorcycle. That's 5 bicycles and a motorcycle. Two cars, two garbage cans, two large ladders, three pairs of skis, etc.

WOW....

First you mention puting your bikes in the garage, and now selling your bike? That's totally out of the line.

1 bedroom apt over a 4 car garage. We don't keep bikes in the garage b/c it's a common space, but the Toyota truck lives in there.

In the living room is 2 road bikes (one on a trainer), 2 touring bikes and 2 commuter bikes, plus a spare road frame and 3 sets of extra road wheels. In the bedroom is another road bike and 2 mtn bikes and 2 spare mtn bike frames.
And it's not too crowded in here.

How many? Don't know what the limit is, but I'm not there yet. I have a dozen ready to go with a few others in parts at any given time. There would be room for a lot more if the wife would just give up her car. I keep telling her "You can only fit so much in a 28 x 28 garage!" Don

Absolutely correct. There's ALWAYS room for one more. I only have two right now (race bike and rain bike, carbon and aluminum, respectively), but am trying to figure out A) how I can afford more, and B) how I can explain them away to my wife. I know I NEED a TT bike, a fixie, a cyclocross bike, a steel Bianchi in celeste, some high-zoot Italian carbon ride with Campy, another high-zoot Ti, a downhill MTB, a full-suspension cross MTB, a hard tail MTB, etc. Unfortunately explaining away ANY of them will be pretty difficult . . .

I have 7 bikes in a 1 bedrom apartment without a garage. With a one car garage I could at least double that and still have plenty of room.
