Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

New-to-Me Bike

I've been riding a Fuji Finest for the past 5 years. Nothing specatacular about my milage - about 1500-1700 mi per year and the bike has been serving me well. I saw an ad in the paper today for a Fuji Roubaix Pro, 2005 year model. I've been wanting to upgrade to at least 105 status plus a lighter wheel set. Called and it's the comfortable size I've been riding and they're asking $650. Went to check out the bike, rode it. Wheels very true, shifts crisply, and brakes well. 105 shifting components/Alex 260 wheels,Truativ cranks, cabron fork and seat stays. The deal includes a Mity 8 cyclocomputer. Original tires, the bike has 403 miles on it. A couple of very minor chips in the paint. I bought it and love it. I think I got a decent deal. The 2005 list was $1300.

My girlfriend just got a 2007 Fuji Roubaix Pro. We took it for it's inaugural ride yesterday and she LOVED it. Paid $1000 for it brand new.

Sounds like you got a great deal. Enjoy your new ride!
