Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

new pedals and cleats..screws too small and lost a washer.....

they are shimano spd-sl and the screws that came with it will not fit in the top hole of the triangle because the are too short... is it ok to use longer screws that came with my other cleats (nashbar knockoffs)..?

also:i seem to have missplaced a washer is it ok for me to use the other washer as well?

just asking because on the instructions its like "cautionnly use screws and washers that came with cleats"

dang, sounds like a problem I had with carbon soles not too long ago. Well, shimano says a powerlink won't work with their chains either. Use SRAM and KMC and they work fine.

Just get a washer and a bolt and be done with it. A bolt is a bolt.

You can easily find a replacement washer in any hardware store, just bring one of them in and compare if you don't know the exact specs.
