Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What seatbag do you use?

I'm looking for a wedge type seatbag to carry a tube, 2 park levers, GI Airchuck sl w/2 CO2, patches, a small digital camera, Multi-tool, small wallet/CC holder(oh, and my herb ). I guessing something in the 50-70 ci range would work well.

Any suggestions for a good seatbag?

I just ordered this: https://www.pedros.com/frame.aspx?url...bags.html?ride

Had the smaller one. Not sure how it will work, but anything bigger I feel like I'd be better off with a small backpack to keep the weight off the bike.

Sorry...new to this forums software....the 50cu blowout bag is what I got. Cheap $15 and made of recycled tubes.

I've just started using Ortlieb seat bags. They're waterproof (a big problem I've had with other brands), and come in 3 sizes. The mount is clever and seems very secure, although I'm only going into my first season with the bag. The only reliable U.S. source I know is www.wallbike.com in New Orleans. I can vouch for the reliability of their online sales.

Then you're in luck. Get a Topeak Aerowedge: https://www.topeak.com/2007/products/...wedgepacks.php

I've got the small and it fits 2 tire levers, my treo, multi-tool, wallet, cliff bar, spare tube and keys. They're all crammed in but it fits and looks good.

Pedros mini blowout bag. Enough room for a tube, co2 cart, co2 adapter and a small hex set. Tucks right up under the saddle...and cheap...

Jandd Mini Mountain Wedge. It fits a combo mini/co2 pump (with 1 co2 loaded), up to 3 extra co2 cartridges (depending on ride length), up to 2 tubes, patches, tire levers, Topeak Multi Tool with chain tool, a couple chain links with 2 pins, spoke tool, car keys, ID and cash.

Like my wife collects purses, I have a nice little assortment of small seat bags. Bottom line.....most all of them work well.

+2 on the Topeak. I did buy the F22 fixer because it didn't fit my saddle that well. Its a great little bag though.

I have the collection too. Unfortunately, that's because most of them DON'T work well. Mini-pump doesn't fit in some. Others, I've had the joy of discovering that cellphones and moisture don't mix. Band-aids and trail mix don't like the roadspray all that much either.

I have the Jandd mini tool kit bag. I can stuff a tube, patch kit, two CO2 cartridges with nozzle, and two tire levers. Probably a bit small for what you are looking for, but I'm happy with it.

thanks for the suggestions. I was thinking of buying the Topeak Aero Wedge medium (60-80ci), now I'm convinced.

-1

I had two of these. Each cracked and split just outside a year's use. The eco-friendly model is the one that lasts and doesn't get tossed in the trash.

YMMV

Specialized something or other... mini wedge - it works well enough:

https://www.specialized.com/bc/SBCEqP...jsp?spid=25161

Had a topeak.. the clip broke. trashed it although the bag itself was a nice size and held it's shape nicely.

Have a couple Soma bags too (soma noe and soma natoma):

I like my Trans-it wedge because its very small, comes in colors to match my bikes, and can hold 1) large allen key set 2) co2 3) tube 4) CC&cash
