Who's your favourite Pro-Rider?
My favourite rider is Jens Voight.
He's a bike riding legend and a nice bloke. I'd buy that man several beers!!

I'm fairly new to the world of paying attention to pro cycling, but I'd go with Hincapie for his selflessness over the years. I'm sure there are others like him too though.

So hard to say! I love Zabriskie's sense of humour. Voigt and Vinokourov I like for their courageous style of riding. I really admire Basso's equanimity. I like all the Belgian riders named "Gert" as well. Svein Tuft and Geoff Kabush are my faves though -- gotta go with the local talent.

Z-man, Flandis, Lemond, Levi, and Voight. They all seem like guys you could sit back, drink a beer with, talk cycling/training, and just have a genuinely good time with. I'm not a fan of cocky athletes.

Vinokourov. just a solid all rounder with great potential.
McEwen. sprints with his head as well as his legs.
Pantani. climbed like a bastard. took lots of drugs too, i guess. he did in his spare time, anyway.

I read two of my current favorites are starting to fire up. Sylvain Chavanel and David Millar. Considering David Millar's current redemption from his drugged daze, I am putting Millar at the top of my list. Another favorite deserving our loyalty is a long time American favorite Bobby Julich. I like it when I see an older cyclist showing their grit instead of retirement.

No school like the old school. I gotta say Fausto Coppi. I don't know any other athlete that Campagnolo named a derailleur after. Also there was that whole thing with him and Gino Bartali, as well as the fact that his career was interupted by WWII. Talk about tough guys.

In fact, old school-wise, ole Ernesto may have been the greatest ride to ever not win the Giro and as a result is one of my favorites. They named the top gruppo after him to show it's strong and always there.
