Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Goodbye my love...

Well, I have both good news and bad news, the good news is that I sold my 2002 Orbea Zonal, not only did I sell it but I sold it for the same amount that I paid for it 2 years ago. The bad news is...that I sold my 2002 Orbea Zonal. So, fairwell to a family member that will be greatly missed. For what it's worth I was able to take all the parts from the Orbea and build up my Bianchi XL Boron so it will continue to contribute to my riding even though it physically will not be here, pics soon to follow as it should be finished being built up tonight.

Here's to all the bikes who's moved on to a better life

I actually enjoy selling them to people I know so I can see them being used. The guy who sold me my first track bike (when I was 13) would smile at me at the races as I warmed up on their former bike. Also, the announcer at junior nationals the next year was thrilled to see his old track bike from when he was a teen, and even enlightened me on the strange nickname on the top tube.
