Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I think it's done!

So I've had my Orca for about 14 months now, and built it from the ground up.
I ordered some Zero Gravity brakes, and they came in yesterday. I installed them right away, and for the first time, I feel like the bike build it done. This will likely change in a month or so.

How many of you seriously think you are done upgrading your bike?

I will probably go the opposite route of upgrading someday. I've upgraded my components first, now I may do the frame later on down the road.

I think mine will be pretty much done once I get a chance to swap out the cantaur shifters and rear derailleur for the chorus ones that I bought a few weeks ago. The bike is just shifting so well that I hate to mess with it.

Very nice. I've only just begun the upgrading. It's going to be a long road.

Looks awesome. The light gray tires really compliment the white seat/bar tape, too. Looks awfully classy.

You are not finished. I see many opportunities for upgrading and tuning of current parts.

I'm never finished. And I just got a dremel, so my bikes had better watch out.

I think the 07 Orca's are one of the nicest looking bikes out there today.

Rides like a dream. It's very comfy, and climbs like a carbon-fiber goat. I can't say enough good things about this bike. I was kind of disappointed that I got it right before the Orca II came out, but I can't complain about how it's treated me.

Since your frame is the older version, get a new one and start over again.
