Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Has anybody

overnighted anything from Performance? I ordered a new seat and booties last night (the 2nd) with overnight shipping. I got a confirmation of the order, but no tracking number as of yet...

Experiences?

Then your first mistake was the delusional faith in the ability of Performance to deliver in 24 hours. God help you.

Wait. Will God render assistance to a competitor?

He might. I ordered a Selle San Marco seat. This could end horribly.

The thing about Performacne it seems is that they don't put the order into their system for around 24 hrs. Then they start the clock of shipping. I have found that I get (with the free upgraded shipping) items in about the same ammount of time it should have taken normally (3-5 days).

Performance shipping sucks.

I'll raise hell if this is the case.

Don't confuse Italian manufacturers with the Holy See simply because the Vatican is surrounded by Italian soil. This won't cut any ice with God, and in fact could well put you on the Holy **** List @ the Our Lady of Dura Ah Cee Chapel.

I will consult with St. Shimano during my evening prayers and get back to you on this.

Performance shipping sucks.
This is the understatement of the year, like saying 'Dr. Pete has some cool bike schwag.'

Performance shipping doesn't begin its suckage until after Performance Order Processing completes its own pre-shipping cluster ****.

I take it you are well-versed in this saddle already?
Otherwise, seems odd to order a saddle without ever having your arse on it in the real world first.

this is so true. their clock is this special clock that doesn't start ticking until the magical all power being order enterer actual enters the order which can take a minimum of 24 hours.

i placed an order Sunday night with the upgraded 2 day shipping and have not received a shipping confirmation yet. however, by my bad math the order should arrive at my door step today or tomorrow at the latest.

later.

I've done it before. I forget what it was, but I needed something pretty bad. Anyway, as long as you order before 4:00 PM Eastern you'll be fine.

Are you guys ordering before 4:00 PM? I've never had a problem that way. If you order after 4:00 PM it should take an extra day for the order to be posted. They explain that on the website.

I don't have a choice. The shops around here don't have enough coin to carry all of the saddles I would like to try. Yet another reason Montana is a poor choice for cyclists.

I can see my prayers and candle lighting have been for naught. Sigh.

Performance sucks harder than just about any mail order entity I know. I simply don't go there anymore. God they're just brutal. Somebody should email the url of this thread to the idiots there today.

They do send stuff overnight, once it's shipped. It's the "once it's shipped" part of the equation that is sometimes frustrating to me.

I called them to confirm that it had been handled. It hadn't been touched yet, so I replaced the booties with hair removal stuff. On a side note, the (old) woman I talked to kept calling my saddle a shoe.

I defend Performance and look what happens.

They really do suck at keeping things in stock. Bastards.
