Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Brrr! Its 60 degrees outside...

Freak "cold" front in Texas today... Cold by my standards anyway, but I thought of you poor people snowed in still in the north country, and rode anyways. But I did get to wear my Mapei arm warmers

today sucked. not sure it got above freezing and the wind chill (40MPH gusts) was around 15. But I've lived in Texas, so this august, enjoy your 45th straight day of over 100 degrees F.

That statement is a little redundant, look where he comes from. Just kidding, the thoroughbred New Yorker in me couldn't help myself.

This morning it was incredibly muggy though. Like stepping out of a sauna. You could almost poor yourself a glass of air and drink it.

I'll have to post pictures from my commute yesterday when I get back home. Think snow, and a lot of it.

I would love to have it in the 60's here in Ohio. My ride on Tuesday was in the upper 70's (78 I think) and then on Wednesday, it is in the 30's with snow.

What is up with this cold front!? It was cold this morning and now is just barely 70 and sunny. I dont want to brave the cold so I guess I will just ride on the trainer this afternoon. I think the wind is at like 6mph right now also, when will this arctic-like weather come to an end!?!?

It was in the high 50s and overcast (marine layer) when I set out for work this morning. Perfect riding weather if you ask me.

I San Diego!

50s!!! I would have to pull out my heavy coat and mitts for that! I seriously had the heater on in my jeep this morning.

Ah, Winter-peg. It's a balmy -5C (23 Fahrenheit) in Toronto right now and snowing lightly, with a nice little layer of ice on most flat surfaces. Love that trainer hum...
