Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cycling shoes causing pain?

K, I'm at a loss of what to do, I've been using a pair of Diadora Ergo road shoes for the past 3 years, they are still in great condition and up until this week they have been the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn on the bike but lately the nerves on both feet of the bone connected to my pinky toe? is going numb or is sensitive causing pain (let me know if I lost anyone since I think I'm already lost). I know I have wide feet but up until now I've never had an issue with these shoes, anyone else ever had this problem? Suggestions?

I've got wide feet too and when I first used spd-sl's the outsides of my fat feet would hurt after a while. I solved this by loosening the shoe slightly by the front 2 straps, but keeping the top strap tight enough without losing pedalling efficiency.

Not exactly the same problem as you I think, but hope this helps
