Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

BMC porn pics w OpenPro/King wheelset

Been raining here almost everyday that i have off. Pretty bummed out, although I did finally put my set of OpenPro's on the BMC. Took a few pics to post. They are OpenPro's laced 3x to Chris king Hubs. Bombproof. If you can stand the BUZZZZZZZ.

That doesn't say 105 on the cassette. That's a Shimano 10 speed spacer between cogs. It says 10S. My Ultegra cassettes have the same spacers.

So... yes, it could very well be a 105 cassette, but more likely a DuraAce to match the crankset.

BTW, OP, is that a SRAM Force RD?

I like the 105 cassette.. I prefer ultegra if easily available.. but cassettes are REALLY expensive for modest gains. Atleast quility hubs have more perks than just weight.

I've been eyeing a new set of wheels, and the Chris King/Open Pro combo piqued my interest. In all practicallity though, would those be "race worthy" wheels in the Cat 4/5 field?

that would be more than enough wheel for 4/5.

Even if that was a 105 cassette, it will last longer than your cassette.

That might not a 105 cassette - it says 10S ("S" not 5) for 10 speed. My Ultegra has the same thing

It look like OP runs SRAM shifters...

You are kidding right? Why would I put DA on a training wheelset? By the way they are Ultegra, it is a 10s on the plastic.

Yeah, I use SRAM Force shifters, and RD. I use DA cranks, and FD. Great combo, love the way it works.

That top tube section by the head tube looks turgid to me - in a good way.
