Thank god for fat top tube.
I had a little accident today on my ride. I was cranking down a 7% hill at 400 watts, my face drowned in beads of sweats, and the rushing headwind screams so loud I could barely hear myself pedal. All of a sudden, my left foot went out of clip and I landed my "prodigal sons" on the top tube. The paroxysm of pain must be something tantamount to childbirth or 3-rd degree burn. I'm just thankful that the top tube on the evoke frame is flat and rectangular. Had it been a steel frame, I would have lost my manhood.

I came unclipped in a sprint in a race once and did basically the same thing. I was lucky not to go down. It was very scary. Glad our jewels were not damaged...

Kinda reminds me of the 'Lance Armstrong Climbs Luz Ardiden 2003' commentary...

I did the same on my bike when I first got my speedplays and road shoes. Slid right off the pedal, and right onto the top tube. Carbon really is more comfortable.

Maybe it's just that I'm overly visual, bit I tend to think people actually look like thir avatar images. Therefore, your post had me confused....
But congrats on keeping the jewels intact.

Will definitely be a big factor the next time I choose a frame.
I would venture to say, for a male, it's probably more protective than wearing a helmet.

That vile top tube had your crotch in it's sights and was absolutely gunning for you. Glad to hear you're unscathed.
