Fulcrum Racing 5s - Best value wheelset?
I've heard alot of good things about the Fulcrum wheels, and the 5s particularly. Good looks, good build, good price. Sounds good. :-)
Are there any better wheels for the price? I was looking at Aksiums for a bit, but they are too heavy to be considered as a second wheelset for me (currently have Xero 3s). The Fulcrums seem to be highly recommended.

I ordered a set of the Fulcrum 5 Evos in black from GVHBikes - they should be here tomorrow!
I couldn't find much information about them, but everything I read about Fulcrums was positive, unlike the Xero XR-1s I was considering. For the price range of $250-$350 the Fulcrums seem like the best bang for my buck.
If you do decide to go for a set Tom at www.gvhbikes.com has the best price at $250 + shipping.

Fulcrum's web site is out of date and not much info to be had. BE SURE to check, then double check with the seller of the wheels if you are using 9 speed. From my discussions with both US distributors for Fulcrum the only shimano hub being imported is the 10 speed only.

yeah... i'm dealing with that right now because sram cassettes won't work with the 10sp only shimano freehub bodies. boooo

Also check out Neuvation wheels. One of my coworkers just bought a set of the Neuvation R28 SL3's with the ceramic upgrade kit. When he got the wheels the hubs were so smooth we assumed that the ceramic bearings had already been installed but they hadn't. They also look great, are lite and very stiff. I got to ride on them and was really impressed. I currently have American Classic Sprint 350's on one bike and Bontrager Race X Lite's on my other bike. I thought the Neuvations felt as good as either of those wheelsets.
