Dude you need a professional bike fit ASAP....that is one of the ugliest setups on such a beautiful bike. Its like $100 and it will make your bike 100X better.
1. Your saddle really shouldnt go below -1 degree unless its a TT bike
2. Your bars should never be above your saddle unless you have insanely short legs and long arms...if you need less reach you bring the stem in and slightly up. Your drops are where your hoods should be in height.

The saddle was tilted too far forward and I have adjusted that.
Thanks for your suggestions for my beautiful bike

I wish I had this to contribute to the thread. I would build it up myself for half the price, however. It's a beautiful machine for sure.

I love all this Celeste Pron. UCIMBZ, you need to start a thread with all the bikes in your stable. What other hot bikes are you hiding?

Sorry I didnt mean for it to come off as mean, I was making trying unsuccessfully to poke fun at your position but I guess I should have hinted at more of a humorous tone. My apologies. With that said, the weight on your hands is more a function of saddle angle than bar height....even with no strength in your hands whatsoever you should get a proper fit.....I promise you can ride at any age with a decent bar to saddle drop, just need to work on hood angle/saddle angle and saddle height.

Nah, keep it there. Bianchi's should be regarded as art .
You'll be gradually taking pressure off your hands as your core strength increases. If you do some situps etc to work on core strength, that ability will happen sooner. Also, make sure that you are bending your elbows while you ride as this will help to keep pressure off your palms.

a buddy of mines rescued this bianchi from eternal garage storage. its steel, with mix-matched components (shimano 600 and others) but it was bought for 125USD. I ride a bianchi d2 super pista but that does not pertain to this discussion.

I was so exhausted after 25 miles on the Bianchi! And now I have a bruise from ankle to calf. Battle scars ... and I am sure it will all get better.

Well, I only have one Bianchi, a 2012 Bianchi Infinito.
Here she is...
The obligatory garage-door shot...
Here is a catalog picture of teh 2011 model, notice the subtle color scheme variation...
Cockpit shot (the steerer tube will be cut off after I have dialed in the right riding position)...
Bianchi-issued white handlebar tape and celeste brake hoods...
FSA Compact handlebars (and FSA stem)...
I replaced the standard Fizik saddle with a white Selle Italia SLR saddle (same as I use on my other bikes)...
Fork...
The Infinito name...
The head badge...
