Getting started in Road Cycling
Hi everyone,
I have just recently taken interest in road cycling. I searched for sites that had information on the sport & managed to come across this forum.
I have yet to purchase a bike, but any information you would be able to give me (as well as recommended books or websites) would be absolutely great & very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Great and welcome...
A starter bike should cost from 500 to 1500 bucks probably. You can get a LOT of info from this forum...just start asking away...most everone here is very nice and helpful...the ones that are not just ignore then.....
Also find a group ride to go on....We have a Monday, Wed ride group that happens in my city....they are a great way to meet others that bike as well....

searching and scouring this forum will get you ramped up on just about any cycling related issue - there's a real treasure of information here (along with a lot of nuttiness...)
