Sunscreen wipes for cycling?
Does anyone use sunscreen wipes while cycling. If so, is there a product you recommend?
I prefer as low an SPF rating as I can find.
I'm doing a century soon and am looking for something easy to carry if I need it.
Thanks,
Brian

How about 0 SPF....no sunscreen at all??
sounds like an odd query to me. :/

I have darker/olive skin, but I like to tan and not burn. For me, an SPF 4 blocks virtually everythin, a 2 some and nothing makes me burn.
The lowest SXPF wipe I can find for rasy transport on the bike is a 15. That's fine if that's as low as it goes in that type of product.
The point of this thread, however, was to ask what types of sunscreen wipes people preferred, if they used the product at all.
It seemed simple to me. Sorry if I didn't include enough information.

OK, forget the SPF rating.
Does anyone have opinions as to the quality and ease of use of one sunscreen wipe or/over another?

No preferences here. With your skin, it wouldn't make any difference anyways. I use spf 40 and still tan. They didn't have any wipes so I bought a stick sunscreen that doesn't come off in my sweat.

The stick gives you enough for decent coverage?
They look so small. But I guess they pack it in.

I'd just put on what you want when you start and then don't worry about it, since you don't burn easily anyway. I doubt that a few hours in the sun will give you melanoma (but you didn't hear that from me!).

The stick works but it does make me consider, albeit briefly, shaving my legs before applying it to them.
I just noticed my jersey sleeves are not the same length; giving me "stripes" on my arms. I go from Rasmussen white to Iban Mayo brown across the bicep.

When I did the Tahoe century, I really gooped on the sunscreen from the full-size bottle before the ride. I took one of those small stick things along on the ride, and it was enough for a lunchtime re-application.
Dunno about the wipes, but I wonder if they really provide enough coverage. I have read that most people, even when using the big tubes, don't apply enough sunscreen.
A thought on the SPF issue . . . pardon my ignorance, I don't know what the elevation of Fresno is, but I'm an East Coast flatlander, and for us, the UV on the Tahoe ride was much more intense than what we are used to. Experienced hands recommended that we bump the SPF up to one higher than we usually use, and I'm glad I did so.

sunscreen does more than just keeping you from burning and people have different skin. that's why they make SPF4 and SPF 40.
I've never seen it in wipes though.

+1 on the spray. that's what I use most of the time but the only ones I've ever seen in a spray were the high SPFs.
