Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bike Forums – Confessions

Follow in the recent footsteps Bjarne Riis, I’m confessing…

I doped in my high school & college years 1983 – 1987 but wasn’t EPO or anything like that; the Marijuana did amazing things for my performance. However, it was all in my mind….

Also, back in 1985 when my Falcon San Remo was stolen; I told my insurance company it was worth more than it really was.

I'm dirt

Its time for all to come clean...

I think a lot of us could claim to have been dopes in High school - I think it was epidemic and had nothing to do with drugs...

My wife crashed her car into a parked car (because of a cyclist, so she claims), so I decided to abet her crime and report it to the cops as a hit and run by someone else in a parking lot. Got the ins co to pay for the damages, car's good as new.

I'm lower than pond scum.

I've been known to shave my chest in the summer to help get a better tan.

I also shaved my legs once.

Note: "once".

I used to take Oxycodone (pain killer) before riding. Did it help my performance? OH YEEAAAHHH !

Of course, when you're trying to ride with a healing broken pelvis, 'performance' isn't really the right word, it's more like it helped me turn the pedals over.
