Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

small yet wide shoes

A friend of mine has relatively small (size 41.5-42 EU) yet quite wide feet. This puts him in a very narrow spot when choosing even regular shoes. He recently started riding and until now he was using Cannondale's MTB shoes. Now he wants to switch to something more "roadie-like" for couple of reasons: he is not really happy with his shoes and, he just wants something new

So, are there any road shoes that would fit the criteria above?

I wear EEEEE shoes. Thought I'd have to have bike shoes custom made. But the Sidi Genius Megas are comfortable as can be.

Specialized shoes have a very wide toe box, those shoes fit my EEE width feet very nicely.
