Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Drop that campy plastic carbon **** and go with Shimano Hollowtech II cranks. It's is the most perfect possible design.. How can anyone improve on perfection?

Are you sure it is the BB making the noise...

I have a click on my Record bike...

Felt like it was the BB but turned out to be the hub on my on my Easton Ascent wheel...

because the centaur cranks aren't carbon.

Installation on outboard bearing bikes is important, no matter what the brand. Both sides of the BB shell need to be faced and parallel. Make sure the cups are torqued properly also. Good luck

I was positive my clicking was from the crank/bb but when I got on the trainer and had people listen really closely it turned out to be the rear wheel....hard to tell these things.

Might want to double check, thats just way too early for a bearing failure methinks...

Easy way I figured it out...

I borrowed another Campy 10 wheel and no clicking...

Changed the hub and cassette from Campy to Shimano on my Easton wheel...No clicking...

So I am down to hub or cassette...

I need to borrow another Campy 10 cassette to further narrow it down...

I've had clicking on my Centaur Ultra Torque setup. Definitely from BB. Started after about 300 miles. Went away at around 600 miles. Bearings feel fine. I need to just pull the cups, re-grease the threads and re-torque, but this is on my commuter.

10 bucks says it's either your freehub or a loose spoke.

That must be why nobody on the ProTour rides Campy.

I love Shimanists, they know nothing about Campy, yet take any chance to slam it.

Shimano DA cranks will be carbon in 09.

P.S. Centaur cranks are aluminum.

That crank is warrantied for three years. Use the warranty. Did you install these yourself? If not, take it back to the shop, because they installed it wrong -you should get upwards of 10,000 miles on those bearings.
