Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Imitation is the sincerest form of something-or-other . . .

If you peel off the "Trek" sticker, you might find "Orbea" underneath.

In the three pics above the Orca frame looks different at the seat tube.

My point was that the frame seems to ditch the classic Trek look for a more trendy Orbea-like shape. Indeed, in the high end Madone Pro, they're going with the Orbea colors, too . . .

Maybe you guys should read a little about that frame, it has many innovations, including a threadless 90mm bottom bracket and cupless headset.
Other than the black/white color scheme, I don't see the Orbea.

Trek finally makes it to the new millennium with bike design, not much love.

I'm too lazy to read up on all the technical advancements of the new model (plus, not interested in Trek). What was their reasoning behind the frame geometry, consideirng it's a step away their classic geometry...(something which I myself saw as a key aspect of Trek road bikes)?

the seat tube/mast junction area is all BH. i see zero orbea influence in the trek.

That frame does not resemble an Orbea at all, not even close. The only other thing i can thing of is the BH with the semi integrated seat mast.
