Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Thanks! I consider it a Craigslist Miracle. The seller posted small crappy pics (lugs not even visible!), I saw it right away, it was my size, I had just sold another bike and had some cash on hand, and I snatched it for $700. I figure the frame/fork is worth at least that. Can't wait to get some miles in.

Nice ride! I have the scaled back Tricross Expert with summer slicks on it as well. It isn't road, but it's close enough.

Well, this was how I built up my ride only months ago, but has endured a few changes since.

Then I started getting into the business of fast wheels-

And then, well, I wanted it even faster, so here is the latest phase in its evolution-

I'll let you know in a couple hundred miles. So far, so good. MUCH smoother than stock, and about 400 grams lighter.

I admire the attempt at the yellow, but you've got a few too many shades going on there. It would look great with that handlebar yellow on all accents, but the wheels and saddle don't even come close to matching.

Same with the headset compression cap. A good effort, but didn't come out quite right.

thanks i did my best, bought the wheels first for my steel yellow colnago bike(old shamals failed due to wear) and tried to match them in with my new frame. the colours have grown on me and i like them now, so........
if it wories me in the future ill spray the wheels red and change the bar tape, but thanks for the comments
