My new ride that arrived today. I haven't even ridden it yet: 2005 Specialized Sequoia Elite. Cant wait to get out tomorrow. Random notes: the carbon fork and stays with Zerz inserts are beautiful; bike shipped with the wrong stem, it is supposed to be adjustable, new one on its way. The crank and rear dearaulieur are very sharp in black. (Pics suck, sorry) I have a bad neck that prevents long rides. I bought this bike with the hope that that will change.

Hello everybody!
This is My new ride. Two weeks old; 225 miles. Still trying to adjust to riding a roadbike.

If you look at most of the other bikes with drops, the ends are pointed slightly downward (usually to a point somewhere between the rear dropout and the brake) while yours has the end of the bars pointed towards the seatpost. Seems like it would put excessive pressure on your hands if you tried to stay in the hoods too long. But if it works for you, ignore me.

Here's my Raleigh - old, steel 10-speed, with Suntour components. Weighs a ton, but rides like a dream. I can't wait to upgrade to a real road bike, but for now I really enjoy this bike.

atlas928, I did my first century in June on my 1978 Raleigh Grand Prix 10 speed! What a great bike! I recently traded it off to a friend who was attempting to ride a bike that was WAY to small for him. The Grand Prix was a perfect fit.
What you have there is a "Classic" road bike. Take good car of it and enjoy the ride!
