I suppose that I can but rarely ever ride with no hands on the handle bar with this saddle or any others. I don't feel that I have experienced any problems turning corners but that's just my perception.

I was very happy with the deal when compared to a new one. The seller said it had 900 miles on it and he is apparently a full time bike mechanic who cared for it himself. Other than the white handlebar tape being a little dirty and some wear on the saddle, the bike is in immaculate shape.

One thing that I miss about the older (than 2010) models is the colored versions of the Toupe that Specialized has. (i.e., with the red or blue tips)

That's good, because it looks like they sold you too tall a frame.
There is no way that we would have let you leave the shop on that bike set up like that.
We would have dropped everything to make sure you had a reasonable fit. At that price point you'd get atleast a free hour worth of fitting, it doesn't take much more than that unless you're computerized.
