the black frame is the smallest size available. the silver frame i bought used, and it was advertised as a smaller size. steering feel and weight transfer are fine and comparable to the ride of more ordinary stems lengths ive used.

Awesome. I have the same frame. It's a great bike. I've done a ton of races and logged quite a few miles on it, you won't be disappointed.

Thanks, I'm enjoying it so far. I hate that I wasn't able to get it from my LBS. Leading up to this bike I test rode a Cannondale Synapse, Specialized Tarmac, Allez and Roubaix, Trek 2.1, Fuji Roubaix, and a Jamis Xenith Comp. I found that I really liked the feel of Rival better than 105. Also, I didn't mind the feel of aluminum bikes. I was almost set on buying one of CC's BMC SL01s. A good friend recommended either the Pistola or the Podio, after sharing a concern with the BMC. When I found this bike for under $1400 new and shipped, I couldn't pass it up.

I think I'm struggling a bit with seat height at present, but have no doubt that I'll be able to work that out over time. Other than that it feels a ton faster than my old Felt SR-81, even if in truth it's not faster by much. I upgraded the chassis, but not the engine.

if you don't mind my asking, how tall are you? I thought that frame was a 650c frame. Which, for the record, I think looks awesome since the crankset looks so massive on it.

Well after exactly 2 weeks the freehub of the Token wheel failed yesterday and I would've lost my life on 3 occasions had there been a vehicle on the road behind me. I then slowly rode it to my LBS and got the Fulcrum Racing Zero wheel set with no objections from my wife, but boy was it a scary situation when the cranks spin with no traction and you suddenly find yourself in the middle of the road because you were attempting to pickup speed. On opening up the freehub, we found that it has six pawls ( other makes have 3 pawls ) to catch the hub and all six failed for it to spin the way it did. Even after cleaning and removing what little grease there was most of the pawls failed to sping back up. I lost all confidence in that wheel set and Token products there and then. The Token wheel set were just about a month old.

My LBS mechanic had warned me about Token products, (I didn't buy the wheels from them) when he first saw them on the old bike, but I was taken buy the bling of gold wheels and now know better. Actually this post should be in the Tech treads but as I had only posted my new bike setup 2 weeks ago I thought an update was in order. Sorry if I am wrong and thanks for indulging me. I am attaching a photo of what she looks like now.

    God bless and best regards
    Anthony.

    Please help

I have a road bike I bought about 20 years ago. It has no markings, except on the lugs, it has a spade like an ace of spades. Three of my local bike shops have no idea who made the frame. Please help me identify this bike.

Colnago is a club, not a spade, but maybe he's confused?

You should post a picture to the Classic and Vintage forum.

My new 2011 Specialized Roubaix Elite SL2 with SRAM Apex.

Ways in which I fail to meet BF photo standards: no garage, haven't taken off reflectors or dork disk (they'll come off soon), haven't lined up the wheels or put the chain on the outside chainring, but I'm excited to have it, so I'm posting. Oh, and you'll say the stem should be flipped and I have too many spacers, but I've got a short torso and no experience on a road bike, expect to flip the stem in a few months when I've gotten used to the position. Also adding clipless pedals in a few weeks, need a computer, considering a different saddle (most of the women's saddles they had in stock were too much gel for my taste so I'm going with the stock saddle for a bit), getting decent lights (I've fixed that rear reflector for now).
