Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hello everyone I'm new here and figured this was a good place for a firs post. I just got a new 2010 Fuji Roubaix ACR 3.0 for $800 after my Lemond Reno's right 105 shifter bit the dust. Only put a few hundred miles on the Fuji so far but I already love it. So far the only thing I've added are a set of Shimano clipless peddles but sorry no pics right now I'm posting from my Blackberry. By the way great site!

That Fezzari looks like a good frame, but the design is slightly tacky.

Gee, thanks for that mental image.
Nice buy on the bike BTW.
nah, this beat was actually an environmental awareness beat. he was looking down the whole time and didn't realize a hill was coming up. I kinda picked up speed on the flat before hitting the slope then switched to high gear.

once i know what these parts are and what they do, i'll put them down on my To Buy list.

This pic is from the bikesdirect website, I will post the actual pic of my Motobecane Record after I get some of my own photos done. Looks similar except mine is white, and I just added SPD pedals and shoes. I think mine is 2-3 years old, with only 100 miles on it. I bought it from Craigslist for $200, so I think I got a pretty good deal. This is my first Road Bike, so I am excited to get into it.

I thought so too, but it's always good to hear confirmation from others. I haven't had any problems with it so far.

2008 Surly Crosscheck.

This is my Crosscheck. I just tilted the seat back and found out how comfortable a brooks can really be.

Jamis Satellite:

$340. Included upgrades: The M28s, Carbon SP & handlebars, Stelle Italia SLR, 130mm ritchey stem and a box of goodies.

Until now, my $40 1981 Panasonic was my best bike. Water bottle cage and decent pedals are now on the Jamis and I'm in heaven.

Me? I only ask because I posted a MASH video over there recently. If so, unless you are retired I'm no hipster kid. That's alot to do to make fun, something I didn't even notice until you pointed it out.

you mean solbrother and the fit? Being that tall, I'd say thats one of the only cars he can comfortably drive. Those things are huge inside.

2011 Giant TCR Advantage SL3
Just got the bike yesterday and went on it's maiden voyage this morning. Awesome feeling ride!
Changed the tires, and bar tape to add a little color. Was very monochromatic stock.

Thanks go to Mark and his crew at Westwood Bikes in Westwood, NJ for setting this up for me.

Nice TCR. Not sure the added flair of colored tires is really worth it: It seems that there is a reason tires are black. Anyways, nitpicking. Beautiful bike, enjoy the ride.
