Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Thanks! I love the wheels. They make a huge difference from the RS10s. I have to give them back to my dad though. Gotta change the freewheel back to Campy.

^^^ not a big fan of Treks myself, but I do really like that one. I already know which tires, wheels, And components I would use for this build. Please post when finished. I like to see how other peoples visions differ from mine. NICE PROJECT!

Just built up my old Giant for a friend to start riding. After he (hopefully) gets his own bike, this one will see commuter & rain duty, since it's got rack/fender mounts and slightly larger tire clearance.

I was thinking along the lines of Sram Force, Soul 2.0's (Black) with tires similar to these.

This is what I used to have before getting taken out by a car 6 months ago (apologies for the bluriness, the distracting fence rail, and the poor orientation of the cranks).

'07 Giant TCR with Ultegra

...

...and what I have now...

'09 Fondriest TF2 with Ultegra (got a good deal from the boys a Crino Cycles, North Carlton, Victoria, Aus).

No idea. This frameset is a little heavier than the other was, even though it's smaller.

Even with the tiny bit of extra weight, that is one hell of a classic looking colnago. Sweet build, nice color, and great bike!

Caad 10-4

I joined the bandwagon.

Stock except for Flite saddle, DT Swiss R1700 wheels, and GP4K tires.
And of course Tacx Tao cages. Love those things.

I'll shill for the shop, but just because I liked it
Went to Big Ring in Golden, CO. Its more or less a boutique shop, and they offer great service. They gave me a great fit, and as much time as I wanted to test ride. Ended up loving the CAAD so much, I really didn't want to try the SuperSix (didn't want to spend too much...).

Picture of part of my test ride (rode up Lookout Mtn.)

Sorry about the large images.
