Oops double post
That could be a nice looking bike.
Brown saddle on an all-black bike? Ew. That's like wearing a brown shoes with a black belt.
2010 Fuji Roubaix ACR 2.0
after further review, the other pictures of EPQ framesets do not have the spade on the frame. Nor do they say "B STAY" on the seatstay. The chain and seat stays do not look right, and I can say without a doubt that bike is a conterfeit frame, with a cheap ass homebuild.
I stand corrected... I think my theory of it being fake was actually working in the poster's favor. He didn't look like he had egg on his face when I thought it was a counterfeit frame. Now, if it's the real thing, DUDE WHAT ARE YOU THINKING WITH THAT BUILD??
Brooks: ruining modern bike since forever.
I am new to this thread and I don't know if I supposed to start a new one but I need some advise from you.
I am currently riding Fuji SST3 with mixed components between 105 and ultegra, btw this is my first carbon road bike.
I saw in our LBS they have sale on Cervelo S2 $3000 which is full shimano ultegra, color white-red.
My question is,
Is it worth to upgrade from my Fuji SST3 ?
Is it much better bike and mainly the frame?
All suggestion are welcome even with different brand, thanks a lot
Don't know yet if it fits me better, just was looking for some upgrade and those are on sale now, looks nice, but the main thing is it much better than Fuji SST3 ? or similar...
I am not a PRO but I like good things and of course I know it costs, but that's a life
If any other suggestion, very welcome.
I would like to not pass $5000.
What about PINARELLO FP3 or other ???
I rode a bunch of bikes with SRAM Force, Campy Chorus 11, and Shimano Ultegra. I picked ultegra. I then rode every bike I could get my hands on that had an Ultegra groupset. I rode Focus Izalco Team, BMC SL01, Pinarello FP4, Specialized Tarmac, Scott Addict, Trek Madone, Colnago something... there were more. They were all around the same price, and had the same groupset with similar components. It made choosing my bike very easy because all I had to pay attention to was handling, feel in and out of the saddle, and stuff like that. Some bikes I got on for a few blocks and hated, others I rode for miles and enjoyed. I rode some bikes 3-5 times over the course of a couple of weeks. In the end, I know that I got the best bike for me. To me, this is the only way to choose a bike, YMMV.
The short answer to your question is yes, those bikes a better than your Fuji. Better is subjective though. Some bikes you look at and just want to ride. If you are in love with your bike, it doesn't matter how "good" or "bad" it is. The honest truth is you have a really nice bike. If you are upgrading just to upgrade, then I'd say it's unnecessary, and you'd be better off spending 200-300 to get a perfect fit dialed in by a professional. If you're upgrading because you're unhappy with your bike, then go ride everything you can get your hands on and buy what gives you a b0ner.
