I lowered the handlebars on the SL. Have to take it out for a couple rides before I commit to cutting it. Ended up lowering by a total of 3-4cm.
A couple of pictures. (Sorry for the dirty Handlebar tape, waiting to upgrade to FORCE before a re-wrap this winter.

you are correct, the oregon is the size of oregon, I transfered it from the commuter because after the 2700 for the tarmac a computer was out of the budget

    2011 Cervelo R3 Rival

Here are a few pics of my 2011 R3. I took it out today for a nice NJ fall ride. Sorry for the blackberry phone pics, it's all I had with me. I'll post some more when I get some carbon clinchers. Enjoy the bike and fall foliage!

It's a 58, and 16.3 lbs without pedals, I've only swapped out the saddle for Fizik Arione CX and the stem, which everyone seems to have an issue about on this forum.

That's the thing with these forums, people prejudge without any context. I've only picked up cycling 3 months ago. I bought a hybrid, a trainer and trailer to pull my 2 kids, lost 40 lbs from 240 to 200 at 6'1, now love the sport. Bought the Cervelo as a reward to myself, and no, I don't have a snake spine, and am still adjusting to the new position.

The LBS did a fitting and suggested I take it easy and we'll gradually adjust. I don't race (yet), but love the sport, and yes, I know it can be flipped...

    congrats on the weight loss.

The saddle looks quite far back and the bars above the saddle is pretty unusual. You might find it more comfortable to ride in a less upright position.

great looking ride...don't worry about the comments with concerns to the stem..if it is comfortable that way and you enjoy it, that is all it comes down to..your ride, your bike

The reason the saddle is back is that my LBS told me my legs in general are (pant seam 32") short for my height, but my femurs are unusually long so the saddle is not so high, but needed to be moved back to accommodate the long femurs. To compensate for the saddle moving back we had to shorten the stem. I felt stretched still so we're trying out the angled stem. Eventually, we'll move back to a smaller angle as I adjust.

What made you go for the R3 over the RS given the fit you needed?

If you got a metric tape measure, will you measure from the tip of the saddle to the middle of the handlebar where it passes through the stem also place the crank parallel to the seat tube and measure from the seat rail to the middle of the pedal spindle and tell us what the measurements are?
Seat position is dictated by the knee and ankle position while your pedal is at 3 o'clock it should not be used to compensate for reach. If you feel stretched with that short of a stem and the way it is angled, one reason is that you are new at the sport. The other might as well be that the frame is not the correct size for you.

That bike seems awfully large for some1 with a 32 inseam. Just a general comment based on the picture. I obviously know nothing about you, your fit, and your body proportions to make a qualified judgement. Just saying...
