What road bike do you have?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I for one can't stand the SRAM the 105 is way better its just quicker but thats just my taste. But I ride the Madone 5 at the time it came with SRAM but it was so much more capable with the ultegra

eh. I like Shimano and everything high end they make, but I recently made the switch to Force and Rive over 105 and It's a huge upgrade in my eyes. While it might not be as "smooth" I find it's a bit quicker in and the ergo of the brifters is SO much nicer in my eyes. I would get a weird cramp sometimes from using the Brake lever shifter on the 105, but on the sram it hasn't happened yet. To each his own. For now, I'm with Sram, though using shimano cassettes are a possibility but I like to run complete groups.

I'm now riding a Giant TCR carbon, 07, and a 07 Trek 5000 TCT. Both are full ultegra, except the trek is a 30spd and the Giant is an 18speed. The trek also has 105 sti shifters, other than that, beautiful bikes.

Bit more of a fan of the TCR but hey, they both are pretty close to the same. Huge fan of each.

And of course, I still have my old C.Itoh steel frame from forever ago.

This is mine - early 2000's Fausto Coppi San Remo. Lovely bike - took it out for the first time in a while this weekend, and clocked 35mph without pedalling :O

On loan from my Grandad, so taking excellent care of it!

Beautiful bikes!

With the $2k difference the answer seems obvious even before i ask my question but i will ask it anyways. How does the CAAD 10 ride compare to the Spesh? Been considering the CAAD for a while and may have the opportunity to move to a CAAD in a few months. However all my friends are suggesting to consider a carbon bike at the price point.

I didn't know a more aggressive position on the Tarmac would actually be more comfortable. Unfortunately to get down lower I need a saddle with a bigger cutout. Not sure I'll keep the SMP yet. Might move over the Romin Evo from my CAAD. Tarmac also go the 3T team components (Red) because the Pro (White) ones were EXACTLY what I needed on the CAAD. Perfect time to upgrade. CAAD also got upped to Ultegra 6700.

I noticed this after the pics. - ****ty Tape install on Tarmac. - Front wheel skewer on CAAD on wrong side. - Forgot to fix saddle tilt when moved seatpost over.

Gotta be some sort of health issue, look at her calves! A recreational rider probably doesn't have legs like that.

Back in school on the FGB, but I got plenty of riding nonetheless. You?

Here's a poor-quality pic of the bike from a long time ago:

Looks a bit different now.

Hey all, first post here. For the past 10 years I've been riding a Univega Modo Volare. Kept it stock aside from pedals and the saddle. I just had the guys at Wrench Science build me the below Colnago CLX 3.0 with Ultegra and I swapped out the wheels for a set of Fulcrum Racing 5CXs. It ships tonight and I'm hopping to have it by Friday.

The CAAD is a great bike and the frame is much lighter than I expected for Aluminum. I just did a ride on it today over some not so nice roads and it's pretty comfortable. I can't really imagine a CF in the price range that can compare to it.

The Tarmac on the other hand is stiffer and lighter. It really feels like it wasn't to go on it's own.

Comparison isn't really fair since the Expert is 56 w/ better wheels and the CAAD is 58 with stock wheels.

Is it just me or that saddle points too much upward. Must be harsh.
